Emergency Housing in Arizona

During the design process of this project, it was key to work through technical issues surrounding code and feasibility, including the need for ADA compliance and universal design. This project worked to hone more technical skills, as well as creative considerations.

Project Statement:

To design an emergency use or disaster relief residential project for a single family unit employing an architectural program that will be the result of negotiating and understanding the needs of a temporarily disabled client. Additionally to utilize a modular design methodology (standard shipping container) to resolve the program, programming adjacency connections, and architectural form.
