ABOUT

Spring 2023 graduating thesis student of a NAAB accredited five year B.Arch program at Alfred State College, with a focus on wellness as connected to the built environment and experience in healthcare architecture.

Pursuing a Master of Design Studies in Design for Human Health at Boston Architectural College beginning in Fall 2023, I intend to research the plurality of design and how it intersects with global interconnectivity, human behavior, and psychology. I am always looking to learn from both my environment and those surrounding me --- my desire for mental stimulation and creative cultivation is forever growing.

With this mindset, I have been able to study abroad in Sorrento, Italy, during my Spring 2022 semester, and also obtain minors in global studies and psychology, with a concentration in architectural history. I also intend to pursue architectural licensure while completing my graduate studies, and am on track to complete my AXP within the next year.

However, even as a licensed architect, my approach to observing our diverse world will not change. I wish to learn long into my years, and live in a perpetually curious state of mind.

I think one of the most important qualities one should develop is an open mind, along with the skill of perspective shifting.  By taking a step back and considering conditions from a contrasting viewpoint, one is able to find new solutions to old problems, and discover alternate, potentially better pathways.

I attempt to apply this philosophy to almost every aspect of my life. From brief pauses to consider a new approach, to having experience as a chair member of international club, I am constantly searching to expand my knowledge of other perspectives and idea processes.
