Installation piece based on the referential lens of American individualism.
The design process of this project contained 5 key phases that were key to work through, in order to ensure the final installation was both feasible for real life construction, and stayed true to the original design intent. These five phases, which each required a separate presentation, were:
1. precedent study on installation artist
2. design development
3. materials study
4. budget analysis
5. final cohesive proposal
Project Statement:
To design an installation based on a chosen referential lens that symbolizes Americana Culture. Students will work through the design process and construction analysis phases as if the installation were to be built in real life. This includes creating a comprehensive budget plan, planning for the construction of the piece, as well as project siting. This will be demonstrated through five separate presentations.
