Cube Structure

This project was the first scaled model that I have created, and served to develop my design process from idea to product, as well as many of the technical hard skills required for drafting and model construction.

Project Statement:

To design a 20 x 20 x 20 foot cube sculpture to fit within the parameters and existing conditions of the Alfred State Bell Tower Plaza. The sculpture must consider solid and void space, and demonstrate a clear function. Students will create initial sketches, scaled hand drafted orthographic drawings, and a final scaled model that includes the surrounding plaza and site, accompanied by a verbal presentation.
