Proposing a revitalization plan for the Town of Belfast, New York.

As part of the Appalachian Teaching Project, Alfred State College participates with its urban design studios every year to propose revitalization plans in multiple towns and villages spanning throughout Alleghany county and the Appalachian region. My studio was assigned to Belfast, New York. The studio was then split into three groups, architectural exteriors, streetscapes, and civic spaces. I was part of the streetscapes team, and had the roles of creating graphics, compiling the presentation boards, and presenting the proposed plan to the town with said team. I was then selected as one of two students from the studio to participate in the annual ATP conference, in which students from all schools receiving the grant present their projects to each other and the board.

Project Statement:

To work with the town board, residents, and student peers in teams to propose a revitalization plan to the town of Belfast, New York.
